About RSIP Vision
RSIP Vision develops cutting-edge medical imaging AI solutions that enhance the accuracy and efficiency of image interpretation. Using advanced computer vision and machine learning for medical imaging, RSIP Vision enables faster diagnosis, improved visualization, and smarter decision-making across various modalities, including CT, MRI, X-ray, and ultrasound.
RSIP Vision analyzes a wide range of imaging modalities, including CT, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound, and surgical video, to support precise medical image analysis in all medical disciplines.
RSIP Vision has been delivering AI and computer vision solutions in healthcare for over 20 years. During this time, RSIP Vision has completed hundreds of successful projects with many of the largest companies in the field, as well as start-ups and medium-sized companies.
Over the 20 years that RSIP Vision has been working in medical imaging, we have completed projects in almost every medical discipline, including orthopedics, cardiology, neurology, pulmonology, urology, women’s health, gastrointestinal, dermatology, and dentistry.
RSIP Vision specializes in applying AI to analyzing and processing medical images, including CT, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound, and surgical video. Our advanced medical imaging solutions include image segmentation, detection, classification, registration, and more. More significantly, our extensive clinical experience, access to clinical and regulatory experts, and in-house medical annotation team allow us to understand and address the unique challenges in applying medical imaging AI in clinical settings.
Yes, over the years, RSIP Vision has developed a large base of knowledge and code that can easily be customized and applied to your specific needs. This allows us to quickly develop prototypes and then move on to a full implementation and FDA approval.
RSIP Vision's Business Model
A typical relationship with a new customer begins with a series of meetings, during which we gain an in-depth understanding of the customer’s needs and expectations. Next, we identify with the customer an application that will bring them the most benefit, and develop a proof-of-concept project proposal. Such proof-of-concept projects typically take 3–4 months, allowing the customer to gain confidence in RSIP Vision and for the companies to develop a productive working relationship.
RSIP Vision can perform any project from short Proof of Concept projects (typically 3-4 months) to multi-year projects, including full FDA approval. At the end of every project phase, the customer receives full source code and supporting documentation and can decide whether to continue developing the project with RSIP Vision, continuing the development in-house, or a combination of the two.
After fully understanding the project requirements, RSIP Vision will assemble a team that is best suited to the task. The team will typically include a team leader and one or more algorithm developers. Additionally, medical annotators may be added to the team, along with relevant clinical experts.
All data acquired during a project for a specific customer comes with a non-exclusive license allowing the customer to use the data as they see fit. RSIP Vision may use the data only for the purpose of carrying out the project for the customer, and may not use the data for any other purpose.
All pre-existing code remains the property of RSIP Vision. However, when delivering a project, we also deliver source code and provide the customer with a non-exclusive, perpetual, and global license to the code. This means that the customer can freely use the code in their applications, develop it further, and maintain it, all without incurring any royalty payments.
Any IP developed during a project together with the customer remains the customer’s exclusive property. This includes code, algorithms, data, annotations, and documentation.
Yes. All projects are delivered with full source code together with a global, perpetual license to use the code as the customer sees fit without any royalties or other restrictions.
No. All software provided by RSIP Vision includes a perpetual, global, royalty-free license.
RSIP Vision has standing agreements with a number of data providers, allowing us to acquire most types of medical imaging data. Our highly trained medical data analysts can locate specific types of data according to modality, patient characteristics and pathologies.
Data Management and Regulatory Approval
RSIP Vision prioritizes data security in every project. We implement strict protocols according to regulatory requirements to protect your medical imaging systems’ data. All our employees and partners are committed to complete confidentiality, ensuring that your IP is protected.
First, under the guidance of relevant clinical experts, an annotation protocol is developed and approved by the customer. Next, members of our in-house medical annotation team, guided by the clinical experts, perform a pilot annotation, the results of which are reviewed together with the customer. Only after this process is completed will the actual annotations begin. Only after the annotations have been reviewed and approved by the clinical experts can they be used in model training or validation.
RSIP Vision has an in-house team of highly trained medical annotators, typically comprising 6th-year medical students, or in some cases, MDs waiting for their internship to start.
RSIP Vision has extensive experience assisting customers in gaining FDA approval for AI modules. We have a full understanding of the requirements and have access to regulatory and clinical experts who can help us understand the unique requirements for each project.
Yes. If needed, RSIP Vision can provide high-quality documentation required to receive FDA approval. This includes SW requirements and specifications, algorithm descriptions, Test plans and test reports, algorithm validation reports, and more.
Technology
Yes. RSIP Vision has delivered many projects that operate in real-time. We can optimize the delivered SW for the customer’s selected HW platform to provide the optimal balance between performance and runtime.
Most projects performed by RSIP Vision use the Agile development methodology. Projects are divided into short sprints, and regular weekly meetings are held with the customer to report on progress and align the project tasks. All projects are tracked using JIRA, and a code repository is used to version the code.
RSIP Vision has its own servers providing multiple GPUs for model training and evaluation. Since RSIP owns the servers, there is no excess charge for GPU usage. For specific projects, if required by the customer, RSIP Vision can use cloud-based services such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
Over the years, RSIP Vision has delivered SW designed to work on high-end Linux-based workstations, Windows-based laptops, Android-based mobile devices, and more. When available, our SW can take advantage of CUDA-based GPUs to deliver the highest performance.
Yes. RSIP Vision can provide application SW, such as visualization tools, to accompany our AI modules. For more complex applications, RSIP Vision has a development partner who can work with us to provide high-quality applications that adhere to the strictest standards and regulations.
Yes. RSIP Vision has extensive experience in providing high-quality and efficient C++ code for integration into the customer’s application according to a pre-defined API.
RSIP Vision will make every effort to use standard, free, public domain libraries and packages with no licensing restrictions, such as OpenCV, PyTorch, Tensorflow, Pandas, and others. If we identify a necessity to use a library or package that requires a license or has some restrictions, we will notify the customer and solicit the customer’s permission before proceeding.
