MICCAI 2018 Daily - Tuesday

exciting for me to see that it is actually working on the medical data. Because people are showing all the results of CVPR conferences and vision, but it’s really hard to apply the data. Once I realized that, it became even more exciting, and I spent more time on it. What’s your favorite place in the United States? I haven’t seen all the cities in the United States, but I can talk about Boston. It is a very multicultural place. That’s why I like living in a city because it is easier to adapt to the system. Everyone is friendly. It is very easy to adapt to the system for many immigrants and in research especially. Do you think the Turkish system helped you to achieve what you are doing now? My previous supervisor, Gozde Unal, helped me and encouraged me. I appreciate her a lot. I also want to mention both Yogesh Rathi and Marek Kubicki who supervise my work. What do you miss the most about Turkey? I miss Turkey very much, especially family and friends, but on the other hand, I’m very happy in the United States. If you want to learn more about Suheyla’s work, come today (Tuesday) to her oral presentation at 10:00 and to her poster T-84 at 18:15. 14 Women in Science
