He has previously had a successful career as a software engineer and completed a Master’s in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) in 2017. “My doctoral research involves utilising deep learning to assist with image-based phenotyping of rice plants, currently focusing on generating pollen viability counts from microscope images.
