CARS Preview 2018

Hello, CARS 2018! Do you remember the CARS Daily magazine , which I published last year in Barcelona? Unfortunately I will not be able to do it again this year, at CARS 2018 in Berlin , despite enjoying very much working at this publication. After talking with Heinz Lemke, we decided to publish something anyway in view of the annual conference: a CARS Preview magazine, to get a first impression of what might be key moments at the meeting. RSIP Vision, global leader in Deep Learning and Computer Vision, is very happy to offer this magazine as a gift to the CARS community . I wish to thank all those who agreed to help me prepare this CARS Preview. Wishing you a great CARS meeting , rich of novelties (like Thursday’s Machine Intelligence session ) and technology breakthroughs, I invite you to stay in contact and subscribe to our magazine Computer Vision News , with its great choice of medical imaging articles published every month! Enjoy the reading, Ralph Anzarouth Editor , Computer Vision News Marketing Manager, RSIP Vision CARS 2018 Preview Summary 3 Dear reader, Would you like to stay in contact and be updated every month with fresh community news? While the current deep learning approach holds much promise by eliminating the human observer from the equation, this “black box” approach creates a bigger regulatory challenge, as the deep- learning based decisions can no longer be easily validated by a human observer. This means hurdles to get these systems into clinical practice will be higher. Follow us:
