“ The workshop combines how you deal with imperfect data with how you augment the data to get a better dataset, ” Sharon tells us. “ We have invited speakers who are working at the cutting edge of data augmentation or learning from imperfect data research. We started planning this very early on and have booked leading experts in the field to join us. ” The workshop’s call for papers attracted an eclectic response covering novel techniques on a range of topics, including data augmentation; data imputation; training with noisy or uncertain labels; and deep learning for small, noisy, and imperfect data . There will be awards for two of the best papers describing new contributions and techniques. “ This is the first time we are running this workshop and we’d love for it to become a multi-year series, ” Sharon concludes. “ We want to invite all of your readers to join us.
