Keigo and Davide titled this tutorial as an introduction to give people the opportunity to really get to know this emerging technology and open it up for new audiences to explore. “ This tutorial is going to be a great opportunity to talk with new students and researchers, ” Davide tells us. “ They can start to understand how to use the event-based camera from the basics. Keigo is a very good professor. He has a lot of experience in image processing with the event-based camera, so we will introduce how to use it to do basic processing. For me, this is a great way to kickstart possible new research topics for a future generation of researchers! ” Keigo adds: “ I would love to have people come and imagine what they see as a potential for these cameras. The technology is so new that every time I talk to people they ask if they could use it for this application or that application. Davide and I have a lot of experience, but we still discover new ways of using these cameras by talking to people from different backgrounds. We’ll introduce the technology, but I’m expecting a two-way conversation , where people tell us how it’s relevant to them.
