Women in Computer Vision 26 people mostly have at least a Masters or PhD in AI research. We can each get our own skillset, and everyone can actually help in realizing a great project in making it come true. Every person's experience is very valuable. That is amazing because with all different people you can combine their skillsets to make something amazing. I learned a lot from my Bachelors, but then I really learned with hands- on experience while working, actually seeing what I can do for a company, and what I can do with my knowledge. That is why I was really interested in having an internship and trying it out. After the internship, I realized that I really like working in a company and making things. For example, my first internship was for the Mazda cars at Johnson Controls. We were doing the infotainment system for the Mazda cars. We could actually test a real product in the Mazda cars, and we could drive around the city and test our product. That felt amazing, and it was really inspiring. I own a Mazda, so maybe you were in charge of the infotainment in my car. [laughs] Oh wow, really? What do you miss the most from Bulgaria? I reallymissmy friends andmy family. You get separated from your family and you cannot visit them so often. Of course, I made friends here, but the connections you make when you are younger are really strong. That is what I am missing most. Many people in our community relocated to study or work in different places from where they were born and grew up. Do you have any advice for them on how to better manage this? I would say the best thing is to try to get integrated as fast as possible, so don’t go against the flow. If that doesn’t feel right to do, then just find your own people. For example, here in Amsterdam, I also have a lot of expat friends as good friends. I try try to speak the language, although
