Finally, Julia, can you tell us something about Kaggle that we in the community don’t know? What probably is not obvious is that we’re a very small team. When I joined Kaggle, we were not yet acquired by Google and I was probably somewhere around employee number 13. Since we’ve joined Google, we have increased our resources, so we’re now a team of almost 60, but the large part of that investment was of course in engineering resources to improve our Kernels environment, which is our cloud-based notebook. On the competition side, we are a team of only 11 who run and host all of these competitions. It might be surprising for people to hear that we run on such a lean team! “It might be surprising for people to hear that we run on such a lean team!” heavy computational resourcing that may not be available to your average user, I would say exploring what the Google Cloud Platform has to offer can certainly help. Especially since for this competition we’re offering Google Cloud credits for the participants.
