casual environment and gave them advice about career paths in research. The banquet begun with three talks by Megan Maher , Tinne Tuytelaars , Raquel Urtasun . The organizers of this year's edition of WiCV at ECCV2018 were Zeynep Akata , Dena Bazazian , Yana Hasson , Angjoo Kanazawa , Hilde Kuehne and Gul Varol . We, the organizers, are glad to say that an increasing amount of companies are helping the realization of WiCV. They give us the chance to offer travel grants and organize the mentoring dinner, which we believe are keys to the success of the workshop. Furthermore, each year's WiCV builds from the experiences of the previous years and it is a collective effort. We would therefore like to give a big thanks to the previous organizers of WiCV . Without them all this would not have been possible. We want to thank the whole computer vision community for their support over many years. We have already achieved a lot that we could not have done without so many people in the field standing behind us. Please keep on supporting the idea of WiCV by attending the workshop, encouraging young female students to follow the road of research and trying to make this community a place where everybody can feel welcomed and respected .
