Viviana, what are you currently working at? I am responsible for the embedded analytics research platform in AST at STMicroelectronics. Basically, AST is a system R&D organization which works across various product divisions. We try to anticipate what our customers will need next, so to provide an edge on our products to our product division. Very often, we start our activities as an R&D project. Finally, they are often integrated into products that are sold to major customers. It’s very nice when this happens. How many years have you been at ST? [ laughs ] I think 26 years now! How is it to work at the same company for so long? This is rather common at ST. I appreciate the fact that I am able to change positions within the company. I started as a junior engineer with this kind of group, which had then a different name. It basically was a research and development department.
