18 DAILY CVPR Friday Editorial... Good morning CVPR! Welcome to the fourth and final CVPR Daily for 2022 by RSIP Vision , the publisher of Computer Vision News . What a week it’s been! From the fascinating workshops and tutorials to all the innovative papers presented, it’s been an outstanding event, and all the better for seeing so many of you here in New Orleans! We’re so happy to be back together again! It’s been wonderful to catch up with friends old and new. We can’t tell you how much it means to us, and we know from speaking to so many of you that you feel the same way. For anyone who has experienced this special event in person for the first time, welcome! The key to your whole career is meeting people, talking, sharing ideas, and making connections. It’s hard to bump into somebody on Zoom, but here you can be at a poster, turn your head, and meet somebody who will become a lifelong friend and colleague! The scientific content this year has been beyond expectations. All these impressive papers and new areas were explored when many of us were working in isolation. Despite testing times, people didn’t slow down! We want to thank Nicole Bumpus Finn and the General Chairs for taking on the challenge this year. How brave they were to figure out how to turn this complex conference into a hybrid event. It’s a very tricky thing to do, and they did an excellent job. On behalf of the community, we salute you! A big thank you also to the exhibitors . We weren’t sure how many companies would come, so seeing as wide a range as ever has been great. For the students, it’s so exciting to see all these different organizations looking for new people. As the curtain falls on our 2022 event, we’re looking forward to CVPR 2023 in Vancouver .
