CVPR Daily - Tuesday

20 DAILY CVPR Tuesday learning a new field as a computer science student. I so much enjoyed learning about dermatology, biology, and skin cancer. I was one of those students who had never seen a drop of blood before, because I was in mathematics and engineering. I almost fainted in one of the first clinical lab internships, but I really liked having the opportunity from the CIHR program, which is one of the grant agencies in Canada to have training in skin care and dermatology. Learning dermatology as a computing science student was really a big change for me. I had learned a new domain and I decided to continue that as my future career. I was lucky to have a partner, who was also a scientist, a computer scientist, the best machine learning scientist I could find, to tell me that we can do this together. Then we started a business together. I really enjoy working with patients and doctors. Yes, I fainted in the first clinical lab internship, but then I realized that purpose and motivation was really important to continue and do more.
