CVPR Daily - Monday
5 DAILY CVPR Monday with Program co-Chair The community has obviously been working very hard at home, as we had around 7,200 paper submissions to review , which was the highest in the history of CVPR! 3,500 reviewers came on board, and we had 1,500 emergency reviewers committed to drop everything they were doing to help out. 240 area chairs dealt with around 30 papers each. I (Georgia) want to give a huge shout-out to our authors, reviewers, and area chairs . They all managed to deliver timely despite difficulties. Being locked down at home, often with kids who can’t attend day care or school, hasn’t been ideal, but everyone has worked tirelessly to make the program happen. We all went through ups and downs, but the human aspect came through strongly and that’s something that I’m especially proud of. We wish you all a very successful CVPR! Don’t forget to read CVPR Daily every morning as it will be full of ideas about which presentations to follow and much more. Enjoy our first issue and have a great day!
