CARS Preview 2018

Project by RSIP Vision 26 CARS 2018 Preview 258 images were selected randomly in the same database to demonstrate DCs from DED patients. Segmentation CNN was trained 5 times on random sets of 233 images and tested each time on the remaining 25 images. The image below shows (left to right) IVCM images demonstrating healthy a) epithelium, b) subbasal nerve plexus, c) stroma and d) endothelium. Density was first calculated by expert ophthalmologists and imaging specialist via Image J, a public domain NIH imaging software . Intermethod agreement was calculated between Image J and the CNN. a b c d
